At Fernandez Realty Affordable Homes, we are committed to providing affordable, quality housing to those in need. If you are interested in applying for housing, please follow the steps below to join our waiting list. A local housing manager will contact you to discuss your application and availability.

Due to a high volume of applications, we are currently pausing new applications until further notice. We appreciate your patience and will update you as soon as we can accept applications again.

Eligibility Criteria

In order to qualify for affordable housing, you must meet certain criteria. Please note that criteria vary by housing unit. Currently, Sycamore Homes is the only available option, and we have information specific to these homes:

Lease Requirements

  • 1-year lease
  • Each adult 18+ staying in the unit is required to fill out the application and pay a $20 fee.

Income Requirements

  • 1-person household — maximum income is $36,900
  • 2-person household — maximum income is $42,200
  • Gross income must be at least $2,305/month or $27,600/year unless receiving a Section 8 or other housing voucher

Rent

  • The monthly rent for each unit is $922.
  • The first month’s rent and a security deposit (equal to one month’s rent) are due at signing.
  • Housing Choice Vouchers are accepted.
  • Project-based vouchers may be available.

Utilities 

Rent includes all basic utilities, including electric and water.

Occupancy Requirements

A maximum of 2 individuals can occupy the unit, with no relationship requirements, etc.

Pets

  • Maximum of 1 pet weighing no more than 20 lbs.

After reviewing your pre-application, we’ll contact you within 3 business days with your eligibility status.

Interview and Documents

If you meet the initial criteria, we’ll schedule an in-person interview with you. We’ll also send you a list of documents you’ll need to bring to the interview.

What Happens Next?

After completing the application process, you will be notified whether or not you have been approved. If approved, you will be placed on our waiting list for the next available unit.
